RAC
Recognition of Acquired Competencies
Recognition of Acquired Competencies is a process for evaluating the skills an adult has developed outside of a classroom setting. However, these skills must correspond to those of a program of study.
Recognition of Acquired Competencies, called "RAC" by the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur, is one way how a program can be delivered. It is different from in-class or online teaching, wherein a student must attend classes and must complete all assignments and exams in order to graduate. The RAC is a service for people who have extensive work experience in their own field. The École de management INSA offers its 2 programs in a RAC fashion, namely Executive Assistant (LCE.0F) and Community and Social Media Manager (NWY.28).
